Unique color combinations, serendipitous patterns, and elegant use of negative space come together in her creations like no other work to be found. Born a southern belle and moving to California with her native Kansas husband in 1990, Tammy soon found herself a credentialed teacher with four children. Finances and the desire to be at home with her children led her to explore her interest in art, especially the interactions of color. Innately able to see colors at their fundamental level, she found a need for her talents and built a 23-year business as a decorative painter in Southern California’s finest homes, trusted by the best interior designers to bring life to their ideas, and relied upon by the best contractors to repair / restore priceless damaged finishes. Yearning to express her own creative ideas, she transitioned into fine art formats in 2020.

She quickly found her understanding of color mixed with her experimenting spirit fruitful, producing works of art sought after by friends and family. Her rapid rise on social media led her to present her works to various art galleries and offer them for sale at local art shows. Her creations were met with immediate success and receptivity. Her work is on display (for sale) at local venues, and she is regularly invited to the best local art shows. Mindful of her training and grateful for her journey, Tammy enjoys teaching others and sharing the creative experience – offering hands-on seminars and classes. Many artists-at-heart find joy producing their own creations following her instruction. Renee Addison currently offers Fluid Art and Mixed Media on canvas as well as fun functional art items.
